What is it about this time of year? Is it the twinkling lights in darkened windows and draped over pine boughs? Is it the green and red sprinkles on sugar cookies decorated by tiny hands (that probably ate more frosting than they spread?) Is it the joy we see in loved one’s faces as they recall their special traditions with every ornament gently unwrapped?
Whatever it is, there’s no denying there is indeed something special about this season. After all, as the song says, it’s the most wonderful time of the year. Well, I don’t know about the MOST wonderful, but there is something magical about these days leading up to Christmas.
For our first day in the countdown, I chose “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” As with many of our holiday song selections, there are so many recordings from which to choose. I selected Pentatonix’s version, as I absolutely love their harmonies. I hope you enjoy 🙂
